Jersey No.-10. Sachin Record Tendulkar...

Among so much of buzz and the harakiri about the retirement, Sachin finally left his shoes for the young goons. The news came so sharp and shocking to my ears which were not allowing me to believe that the Legend can retire. I pinched myself umpteen number of times to deny the verdict by the God of Cricket. The ‘apocalypse’ was hard to digest. The country where children grow young with a dream to be a Sachin, it's more than just a name; it's rather a designation that any youngster would love to be conferred. India where Cricket is a religion and Sachin is its God. Replacement for the icon will be like a big gossip by our silly mouths. The Arjun Awardee generally did not speak with his mouth but his bat roars and answers to many. Coveting him with Bharat-Ratna is somewhere taking political scene. But he knows how to answer people and the critics. Whether Sachin will do justice to the politics or not, it will be a matter for the town to talk on but He knows for generations how to silence people.  

Taking you back to the pavilion, the circumstances under which He took such catastrophic decision. There was no one in the team who was outperforming, everyone was under-performer. But why the center of the target became Sachin. There is no denying the fact that He called it (Cricket) a day under immense pressure. Neither experts, nor the young goons were seen fit on the field. Rather Sachin was more fit than the young legs in fielding, saving runs and all. But the coercing that was increased by us all for him being a non-performer was not done at all.

Anyway, the kindness and the simplicity were revealed by Sachin by his polite departure. His love, feelings, respect, passion, association, performance, temperament, records and etiquette for the Game is known to all. His legendary feats say it all. His fan following, well-wishers and the imitators are beyond anyone's. With his departure it seems as if the era of professional and intelligent men's game has came to an end. 

He really became the first man on the planet to create some unbeatable feats. Reaching him will be a day dream for anyone. Serving India for more than two decade (23 continuous years) is more than just a tribute to the nation. The endorsements reveal not his assets but his contribution and love for the Game. Beyond game, He is very well known for the philanthropic deeds and contributions for the society. The Indian Bradman, Sachin who is just next to him is simply larger than the life. Be it a short, longer or leviathan format of the game, He proved his mettle everywhere almost in every corner of this universe. The rhapsody which every ground reveals about Him is more than just incredible. Every stadium will surely miss His presence and aura. The hallmark which He made and contributed to the Indian Cricket and wrote an Epic will be remembered for the generations to come.

No one can link Sachin to the retirement. The fact that Sachin is retired is in fact beyond the belief. He will always play Cricket in our minds, our souls, our dreams almost everywhere.
